My Super Duper High Antioxidant/Anti-Inflammatory Warm Tea

Now that fall weather is upon us, it’s a great time to share my Super Duper High Antioxidant/Anti-Inflammatory Warm Tea.  As detailed in my last post, herbs and spices are the unsung heroes of healing and disease prevention.  The more frequently we can get them into our bodies, the better.

Ingredients:

  • Very warm but not hot water (to preserve maximum integrity of the benefits).
  • 1 squeeze of Lemon or 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 shakes of powdered or 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 4 shakes of powdered cinnamon
  • 1/2 shake of powdered cayenne (enough to give it a bit of a kick but not too much or it’ll be like drinking fire!)
  • 1 shake of powdered or 1/2 tsp freshly grated turmeric
  • Splash of maple syrup or honey (optional)

Mix together stirring repeatedly with a spoon as you drink so that the spices disburse and don’t all settle at the bottom.

This is particularly good if you are feeling tired or a bit under the weather.  Like many healthy things, it may require a bit of a palate adjustment depending on what you are used too, but the benefits are well worth it!  Cheers!
